This legal notice applies to the entire contents of this website who's domain name is http://www.houseofdreams.co.uk/ and also to any correspondence by e:mail or written letter. By using this website you are entering into a legally binding contract and indicate that you accept these terms, if you do not accept these terms then do not use this website.

These terms and conditions are governed by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (as amended )

Payment Methods

Here at the House Of Dreams we understand that not all our customers feel comfortable in making payments via the internet . We accept payment by cheque or card, if you wish to pay with debit/credit card call us on 01803 664 076 we also accept Paypal payments. Goods will be delivered to the address held by the credit/debit card company only no exceptions

Cheques made payable to House Of Dreams posted to 3 Hayes Road Paignton, Devon TQ45PD, goods will be despatched once funds have cleared , please allow 10 working days for clearance

1) Delivery

House Of Dreams delivery is carried out by a third party at a cost of 20% of goods purchased.

Goods will be deemed to have been delivered once taken from the delivery vehicle at your agreed address. We require a signature for every delivery, and will not leave items which are unsigned for.

To keep down your costs we offer a basic one man delivery service to a front door only. Due to Health & Safety regulations and weight restrictions our driver cannot take items upstairs.

On the day of delivery

1.1) Inspect all goods, do not dispose of packaging until your item is checked.

1.2) Any damages must be noted onto the drivers paperwork before leaving your address, and reported to us on 01803 664076 within 24hours of your receipt.. no exceptions.

;1.3) Unpacking and assembly of goods are not part of the service

1.4) Basic one man delivery, the driver is insured to front door only . However, with customer assistance the driver will assist the customer into a ground floor room, this is entirely at the customer's own risk, we accept no responsibility for damages of any kind. If you live in a block of flats or basement your product will only be delivered to the most easily accessible ground floor door.;

1.5) Failed delivery where the customer does not give adequate delivery instructions, or fails to tell us a pre-arranged delivery date is no longer convenient ,and delivery is subsequently attempted, then we reserve the right to charge re-delivery costs of £25

2) Access

The customer agrees it is their responsibility to ensure satisfactory access is available onto their property. The customer also agrees they have measured their chosen location where they wish the item purchased to fit. No refunds will be given if you have mis-measured.

3) Guarantee

All goods carry a 12 month return to base guarantee against defective parts. This guarantee is against faults in manufacture, not wear and tear or damage

4) Your right to Cancel

Special orders made to customers specification have a 24 hour cancellation period only, cancellations can be made by email to :info@houseofdreams.co.uk or telephone to 01803 664076. After the 24 hour cancelllation period your order can not be cancelled as your order will be in production and materials, fabrics and components will be cut to size in order to make and deliver your products. Bespoke orders must be sent in wriiten form either letter or email.

5) Faulty Goods 

Complaints relating to faulty goods should be notified in writing or email within 7 days of the fault becoming apparent and addressed to House Of Dreams 3 Hayes Road, Paignton Devon. TQ4 5PD. Where goods are reported as faulty we require photos clearly showing the damage or fault,together with a written description detailing the fault. We reserve the right to arrange an inspection..The House Of Dreams retains the right to charge a fee of £75 for the inspection to cover costs and travel expenses.This charge will be agreed and paid for in advance of any inspection. If the product has been damaged as a result of any or similar examples as described in 5.1 5.2 5.3 5.4 5.5 5.6 5.7 5.8 the guarantee is void and you shall not be entitled to a replacement product or part or refund.You will be asked to provide us with photos of the damaged item

Whats not covered

1) Incorrect assembly

5.2) Customer misuse

5.3) Negligence or wilfull damage

5.4) Subjecting the goods to excessive wear & tear e.g. jumping up and down on either the mattress or frame, or standing on the frame

5.5) Using the goods without bed linen

5.6)Normal wear and tear, including mattress settlement and dipping.

5.7) Overloading drawers and causing distortion of the base.

5.8) Allowing household animals to sit/sleep/jump/climb etc on either the mattress , frame, or furniture.

If after inspection the goods are found to be of faulty manufacture the fee of £75 will be refunded.

No other part of the order will be refunded where more than one item was purchased on the same order. In the event goods develop a manufacturing fault, we reserve the right to have the goods repaired or exchanged at our discretion.Repair turnaround is dependent on current workloads usually within 30days,;we will not accept any claims for losses you suffer during this time.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

6) Sizes

Sizes are approximate, due to the manufacturing process a tolerance of up to 1.5/ 3.8cm on the finished item should be allowed

7) V.A.T

All prices quoted include vat at the current rate of 20%.

8) Returns

In the event you change your mind and no longer wish to retain the goods purchased we will accept returns provided the following are met

8.1) Returns must be notified in writing or email  within 14 days of your receipt, we will issue returns code which must be used on your parcels return, no returns will be accepted without a returns code.

8.2) Returns will be accepted within 14 days starting from the day after delivery of the goods ( excluding weekends or bank holidays) mattresses must be sealed for hygene reasons, You may also cancel your Order of Stocked Products only  at any time up to the end of the Fourteenth (14th) Calander day starting from the date immediately after you receive the ordered Goods, We request you return goods in original packaging, If we deem the value has been diminished then a deduction of value will be made.

8.3) Once the items are received back at our premises within 14 days from your receipt they will be checked, and provided the item/s have been adequately packaged your refund plus original delivery costs will be posted to you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, payment will be made in the same way in which you originally paid.

8.4) Buyer is responsible for all Return transport costs

8.5) Items which are damaged in transit, used or returned in a non resaleable condition, will not be accepted and will be returned back to the customer no refund will be given.

8.6) Mattresses which are unsealed are non returnable once removed from the packaging, this is due to hygiene reasons, this does not affect your statutory rights

8.7) The buyer is responsible to ensure the goods they buy are suitable for their requirement. ie size...Bespoke. Items made to customer specifications, personalised, or unsealed and not suitableto return for hygiene reasons, buyer loses their right to cancel 

8.8) All FREE items given at the time of original purchase must also be returned unused, in original wrapping, resellable condition, failure to return free items will result in the item being charged and cost deducted from refund amount due

9) Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England.
